La exposición que conmemora los 20 años del Programa Memoria del Mundo de la UNESCO y los 5 años de actividad del Comité Nacional de Brasil empezará em 26 de Febrero.
La exposición tiene un carácter educativo y posteriormente viajará por todo el país. Ella contendrá aproximadamente 400 imágenes, distribuidas en nueve módulos, los cuales contendrán los documentos brasileños nominados por los tres niveles de registro del Programa MOW (nacional; regional _ América Latina y el Caribe _ y internacional).
Ingreso libre. La exposición estará abierta hasta 31 de Mayo, en la sede del Arquivo Nacional, in Rio de Janeiro.
El Arquivo Nacional ha recibido el apoyo de la UNESCO y de todas las instituciones brasileñas que tienen acervos nominados.

Brazilian Arquivo Nacional opens the exhibition Archives of Brazil: Memory of the World
The exhibition to commemorate the 20 years of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Program and 5 years of activity of the Brazilian National Committee will open on February 26th.
Between 2007 and 2011, 45 Brazilian documents / records groups were
nominated to the Brazilian National Register of the Memory of the World Program. These records are widely diverse in their material supports, period of creation and themes and are held by public and private institutions. The movie Limite, of Mário Peixoto [under the custody of Fundação Cinemateca Brasileira]; the Lei Áurea (The Golden Law – that extinguished slavery in Brazil) [under the custody of Arquivo Nacional]; the musical manuscripts of the composer Carlos Gomes (under the custody of Fundação Biblioteca Nacional); the travel diaries around Brazil and the world of the Emperor D. Pedro II (under the custody of Museu Imperial) are some examples of the records that were nominated.
The exhibition has an educative character and will afterwards travel around the country. It is composed of approximately 400 images, distributed in nine modules, that contain the Brazilian records nominated to the MOW Program’s three registers levels (national; regional _ Latin American and Caribbean; and international).
Entrance is free. The exhibition will be open at the Arquivo Nacional, in Rio de Janeiro, untill May 31th. The Arquivo Nacional received the support of UNESCO and from all the institution that had custody of nominated records.
