
National Register of Brasil 2008. “Lei Áurea” (Golden Law) – in the holdings of the Arquivo Nacional. Subject: Imperial Law that ended slavery in Brasil – 1888.
In the occasion of the 20 years of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme – MOW and the 5 years of the National Committee of Brazil of the MOW Programme, the Brazilian Arquivo Nacional will promote a great exhibition with 9 sections, containing 300 images exhibited in 160 panels.
The exhibition will be based on the 45 Brazilian record funds nominated to the Brazilian National MOW Register, from 2007 until 2011, besides 11 nominated to the International MOW Register. [see pdf]
In 2013 the Exhibition will be taken to other Brazilian cities so its people get acquainted with the Memory of the World Programme and the Brazilian records heritage.
