En el contexto de los veinte años del Programa Memoria del Mundo y con el apoyo de la Oficina Regional de Educación de la UNESCO para América Latina y el Caribe (OREALC/UNESCO Santiago), el Comité Nacional de Chile ha organizado un Taller Nacional de Preservación del Patrimonio Documental con el fin de promover su reconocimiento, protección y uso por la comunidad.
En dicho Taller, que se realizará en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile el 8 y 9 de noviembre de 2012, participarán expertos nacionales y extranjeros quienes, mediante conferencias y actividades prácticas, compartirán su experiencia en diferentes ámbitos de la gestión del patrimonio documental.
Asimismo con el propósito de difundir la riqueza documental del país de trascendencia internacional, se realizará una exposición del Patrimonio Documental de Chile inscrito en los registros de la Memoria del Mundo de UNESCO.

Chilean workshop on preservation of documentary heritage
In the context of the twenty years of the Memory of the World Programme and with the support of the Regional Office for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (OREALC / UNESCO Santiago), the National Committee of Chile has organized a national workshop on preservation of documentary heritage to promote its recognition, protection and use by the community.
The workshop, to be held in Santiago, Chile, on 8 and 9 November 2012, involving national and international experts, who through lectures and practical activities, share their experience in different fields of documentary heritage management.
Also in order to spread the wealth of the country documentary of international significance, will be an exhibition of the documentary heritage of Chile entered in the registers of the UNESCO Memory of the World.
